From co-sleeping/breastfeeding to independent crib sleeping
Okay this is my 3rd merry go round on weaning, breastfeeding and co-s
leeping. My baby is 7 months but, I can’t for the life of me clearly recall how I begin to wean my little one from eco-sleeping and eventually breastfeeding. I have only ever breastfed until 10 months old and I have absolutely no interest in going further and I plan to do the same with my 3rd baby. I have 2 weeks to get my baby adjusted to his crib. Right now he sleeps with me and he wakes up about every 40 mins to 2 hrs to comfort nurse. I have a lot of pressure on me right now and it’s frustrating that I have to be near my baby in order for him to stay asleep. I know it’s my fault lol I do this every time but it’s time to fix it.
I think the first step is to put him for naps in his crib even if he only stays asleep only 30 mins. Then bedtime. I’ll have to sacrifice a few nights of sleep putting him back in his crib every hour. How do I stop the might time nursing? Just get a warm bottle every time he wakes up? Or get him very full before bed and only feed him twice when he wakes up?
