Formula in the fridge?

Do you make up bottles and put them in the fridge until they’re needed? I know a lot of health professionals say now a days that you’re not supposed to do that anymore but I’m finding I’m having a lot of wasted formula if my partner gets up for work in a morning and makes little one a bottle but she decides to sleep for longer than the 2 hours you’re supposed to have it at room temperature for I’m having to throw it away. Also what do you do if you’re going out for the day? I take the little ready made bottles out with me but she’s not to keen on them. They must not taste the same.

I use a tommy tippee machine it been a life saver done in a minute! Only thing is that the smallest amount it does is 4oz

I did with my daughter and she’s absolutely fine. I made them up in the morning and used them that day, never had any issues x

I did it with my 5 previous children and I will do it with this little one. As long as they were discarded when not used within 24 hours I never had a problem previously.
Fair enough my eldest is 24 and my youngest is 14, so I appreciate advice has changed within that time - but it was what I did with them

This is an absolute no. It cause bacteria in the bottles if they are sitting in the fridge and reheated. Just make a formula bottle up as u go wait until ure baby is crying for a bottle .

My little one sleeps all night long, and wake up in the morning and has to be fed within 10 minutes otherwise she screams the house down, I make up one bootle for the morning. When it's near her feeding time I make 2 bottles, feed her one and the other is for the next feeding, etc etc.

I was baffled by the guidance too. When it was time for my son to go to nursery you were expected to provide bottles of formula already made, as the staff are not expected to be measuring out powder etc. When I quoted what it said on the formula box about not storing it for that long they just said that's what everyone does.

I was always told no by health visitors, but when researching at the time the NHS has it in its guidance. Hope this helps.
