Best Arizona cities??? Help!

Question

My husband and I are from SLC and thinking about moving to Arizona.  We are thinking about these 3 cities and want to get any info on where would be the best place to live?? 
I like slower cities that are less busy, but still convenient enough to quickly and easily get to the basics: movie theatres, mall, Target, Starbucks, maybe a Costco??? Ha.

I live in Gilbert and I really like it here! Very family oriented, lots of parks, near malls, Target, Costco, Walmart, grocery stores etc. 
I also like Chandler. 
Mesa is his or miss. Some of it is nice but most is very ghetto. 
Downtown Phoenix is... downtown. It’s crowded and busy and not great. 
Tempe is near ASU. It has a lot of great shops and bars if you like nightlife but think of it like a party and event area. 
Scottsdale is nice but a bit more expensive and “prissy” in a lot of areas. For example the mall there is all designer outlets. 
Avondale and Glendale aren’t great areas but I haven’t been there a lot. It’s not terrible but I’ve heard a lot of it is ghetto.

I live in Avondale az but if I'm being completely and brutally honest...like I'm not racist at all.... It's just what i see. Don't come here if you're white and sensitive af. You will get attacked (verbally/emotionally) and sometimes physically. Yes ik it's terrible but people here are mostly Mexican and black and they get very rude and obnoxious towards white people and i just don't know why. It honestly breaks my heart that people around here are like this and that's why we're called ghetto. Even white children get bullied in the schools here for no reason man... I couldn't have a white friend without being picked on but i never cared.... It's an awful town tbh

I live in paradise valley/Scottsdale area! I love it here. I’ve lived in Glendale and some other places and found this spot was best for my family!!

I don’t live in AZ but have friends/family that do. I really liked what I saw in Gilbert, cute/trendy downtown area. Scottsdale and Peoria/Glendale area are good too
