Used car seats??

Question

So before anyone attacks me, I know the person selling the car seat. She did not use it for her daughter for very long, because she was gifted another one. It doesn’t expire for another 5 years and has not been involved in a car accident. Is it bad to buy the used the one?

Not at all! Wash it up and be happy you saved some $$$. College is going to be super expensive when our kids reach that age. Save money when it’s a reasonable option!

I used my husbands cousins baby’s old car seat, i used it for both of my daughters. I got 2 convertible car seats from someone off Facebook, they were barley used her daughter didn’t like them and they were rich and had the money to give them away and get new ones. Just wash them.

That's one thing I have to get new. My brother offered me his but I'd feel more comfortable with a new one. But do you. We already purchased ours anyway it just needs to be assembled.

No, it's not bad at all! I did that with my baby. I didn't have a ton of money when I was pregnant on top of a 2 month long NICU bill, I couldn't afford a new one at the time. My sister in law gifted me 2 that still had 1 year left before they expired. It saved me. 
Just be sure to double check the expiration date and the manufacturer date. Look for any recalls too under that model carseat :)
