Steroid shot while breastfeeding

Hi mamas! I have been super sick since Tuesday and am not seeming to be feeling any better. If it was just a typical cold, no biggie I would just ride it out. But this is next level! I am still having aches and massive congestion in my nose and chest and just general feel terrible.

The nurse practitioner I saw today suggested a steroid shot to kick start me feeling better. I have already missed a whole week of work.

So my question is, have you all had any experience with getting a steroid shot while nursing? I have read that it won’t affect the baby, but she mentioned it could affect my milk supply. Any experience or advice??
