Can anyone tell me about percentiles?

I went in for my 20 week scan was told everything was fine then went in for an ultrasound at 22 weeks be because I was not feeling her move. Everything was fine but I was told she is in the 24th  percentile. What does that mean ???

As the others have explained it only means where she lies in comparison to other babies. As long as she doesn’t go down like 24% to 23% and down again it’s totally fine.

You do not get the diagnosis of "Small for Gestational Age" until the baby is under the 10th percentile. The goal is around 50th, not too big not too small.

It means that 76 out of hundred babies will be bigger than yours, but it doesn’t really mean anything. It’s a way of taking measurements. My son was in the 24th percentile when he was born for weight, but his head was in the 75th.
