It’s finally my turn! My November 1st baby couldn’t wait to meet mommy and daddy.

With only 1 week before my due date and no sign of baby , I was getting discouraged and getting comfortable with the idea of being pregnant forever šŸ˜…. Tuesday the 29th I woke up at 7:30 to use the bathroom as routine but when I wiped it was blood tinged mucus. ā€œFinallyā€ I thought, my mucus plug. But not only my plug but followed after a trickle. I thought it was my water but I wiped and pulled up my underwear and nothing. ā€œPee, no big dealā€. Went back to sleep with some mild cramping. Got up 30 min later to do some laundry and šŸ’§šŸ’§ down my legs. I yelled down the hall to my husband ā€œbabe? I think my water just brokeā€. I’ve never seen this man run out of the bedroom faster šŸ˜…. Long story short I actually had a dr appt that day at 2. Called the nurse and she said keep my appointment. Walking up the office and I just feel the stream coming down my legs. They check me , 2cm dilated and in active labor!

Sends me straight to the hospital. From 3-6pm I stayed at 2cm with no progression other than my contractions. Those things were no joke. Started my pitocin and got my epidural. Dr said epidural would help my body relax and help the dilation. I wanted to hold out longer but agreed.

At 9:00 I was at 4cm! Quickly after I noticed the pressure I was feeling doubled quickly. And it felt like something was going to fall out of me!!! I called the nurse and was like ā€œlisten I’m feeling a lot down there , can you check meā€. She was like sure but you were just at 4cm sweetie. She checked me and sure enough I went from 4cm to 9cm in 30 minutes! She steps out to get the doctor and comes back and checks me again ā€œok honey you’re ready to pushā€. I was freaking out , everyone kept saying how since this is my first I won’t be delivering till tomorrow , blah blah blah , everything goes so slow. WRONG. Nurse and I did some practice pushes till dr got there. 11:00 pm and we started to push for real! 11:27 I pushed out the cutest, healthiest baby you ever saw. Labor was long but pushing was quick. Pressure was un real! Did I mention the contractions made me throw up in the middle of my labor ... no fun. Let me just say my husband saw me at my lowest and most vulnerable and tells me everyday how proud he was of me. With a baby coming out and throw up running down he said he can’t wait for the next baby šŸ˜šŸ˜…

5 days with this little one so far. Can’t wait for the journey ahead šŸ’•
