What could this be...

So my period is not due until tomorrow and I started having light bleeding on 10/31 (my periods usually start out on the heavier side and then become light).. It has been light some, then a little heavy some, like this kind of heavy posted below.. Again, my periods are normally a little bit heavier in flow.. Before, this bleeding was a bit more on the darker side and now it looks pinkish and this is the first time I'm seeing gooky stuff.. When I started to bleed a little on the 31st, I had no clue I was because I dont recall having cramps.. Now they are ever so faint and nothing to the point where it's usually more painful during my period days.. When should I test at home since this bleeding came 3 days early.. (PS - I came off the pill fully back in June).. Idk if it's my body still trying to find itself, lol.
