False alarm or real thing?

Question

I had contractions starting around 5am this morning and they were between 5-10 min apart. I got around to get ready to go and they have slowed down 😡 my husband and I called in to work today thinking it was happening! Anyone else have them start and stop and still have their baby by the end of the day?

I think it's just your body getting ready. I doubt baby comes today. I had them one after another on Friday night and haven't had any since. Just means your body is doing what it needs to do

I’ve had it happen 3 or 4 times getting all the way to 2-3 minutes apart every time then they just stop

Your body could be better positioning baby for the real deal! Prodromal labor isn't uncommon but is a good sign at the end of your term! Resting labor is also a thing; your uterus works for a while and will rest for another round! It's a muscle so will get fatigued so embrace the rest you get and stay positive if you can!

I’ve had it happen twice now! One night they were 2 mins apart for an hour and then stopped. I’m currently 39+2.

Last time mine kept getting more intense in pain,  never stopped or got lighter with time. 
Might just be your body preparing. So it'll be soon at least
