Purple line above butt crack??

Question

Got out of the shower this morn and was inspecting for new stretch marks when I noticed a thin light purple line extending above my butt crack?? Anyone know what this is or what it means? Has to be a pregnancy thing cause I KNOW it wasn’t there a month ago.

Some midwifes use that purple line to "check" dilation. But its not like 1cm line means 1cm opening, so there is a whole science to it apparently 🙂

It’s supposedly connected to how dilated you are. Above the butt crack means you’d be 10cm......I don’t know how valid it is. I never got a line with either of my pregnancies.

You should google it because I’ve heard it can be a labor indicator. Like something about the baby descending.
