Birth story! 7hr induced labor.

Baby maddison was born today!

I opted to be induced at 39+6.

Showed up to the hospital at 5:30am and get started on their paperwork. Doctor comes in at 8:30, 3cm head still too high to break my waters do we start with pitocin.

12:38 they broke my water, still 3cm but the contractions are super close together and not lasting long. I was about 70% effaced. I chose to have some iv meds at this point. They made me dizzy, sleepy and itchy so I decided to take a short nap.

14:40 I was 7cm! The iv meds have started to wear off at this point.

15:02 9cm and I'm feeling like I need to push but doc isn't quite ready! He got ready real fast because...

15:14 baby is born!!!

I could ask for a better induction and nurse team or husband. He was so super supportive.

And so proud of myself for doing it without an epidural ☺️☺️
