38+2 but belly measuring 44 weeks

My doctor doesn’t seem concerned but uh, that’s like 6 weeks ahead! Apparently I have a LOT of extra amniotic fluid. Is this normal or any cause for concern? Not dilated at all and only 50% effaced... don’t know if my body can handle another 2 weeks and who knows how big my tummy will be by then. Send help!!
