Feeling hurt and helpless

I have been with my SO for 7 years now and we got married almost a year ago. We’ve talked about having kids long before marriage and often and we were on the same page about kids. I used to be against having a kid before we were married and wanted to wait until after and when we were established (good jobs, a house). We talked about having kids seriously about 7 months ago and I went off my BC. Our honeymoon was last month and that’s when we were seriously TTC, before we were just unprotected. Since then I’ve gone through the heartache and disappointment of seeing BFNs, and have been in a really low place. Flash forward to today. I took an ovulation test saw that I was ovulating, and that it would be a good night for some BD. All of a sudden he doesn’t want to and starts saying he’s scared, like really scared and doesn’t know if he’s ready to have a kid. He doesn’t feel adult enough or secure in his job, or that we’re financially prepared. Now I am a planner, and any big decisions we make I am sure to have a plan for and having a baby I know we can do. I was so hurt because I thought this whole time we were on the same time page and now that’s just fine out the window. He won’t give me a timeline when he thinks he’ll be ready or feel differently. He even said “would it be the worst thing in the world if we didn’t have a kid?” I feel like the past couple months have been for nothing- the heartache and disappointment for nothing. I feel like he will never feel ready and that it’s now never going to happen. He said to give him a week to think about things. I feel so helpless, and now whenever I think about is be intimate while he contemplates is ever having a kid I am just going to be thinking about us trying to conceive. Am I wrong for the things I’m feeling? I can’t help but be a little angry—he said tonight with the ovulation test just made it more real and that he was on the same page before. 😞
