Bad friend?

I only have 3 close friends, and one of them is in an on-again-off-again relationship with her boyfriend. When they first started dating in the beginning of 2017 they were a cute couple and I didnt mind having her bf around or talking to her about their relationship problems whenever she needed an unbiased opinion. But about 10 months later before the year was up they broke off because she found messages between him and other women.

I was there to support her as it was a hard breakup (right before the holiday season). I would stay up with her on the phone consoling her, check on her, take her out, distract her, go to her house, the whole 9 yards. Just for them to end up back together not even a month later. But whatever, I get relationships can get complicated and I was happy if she was happy. However, this was 2 years ago at the end of 2017.

Since then their relationship has been a constant cycle of them being happy for a little while, to them arguing over him talking to or actually hooking up with other females, to them breaking up. I am there for her each time, and each time they make up. Over and over again. It’s to the point that I asked her to stop talking about him and her “relationship” problems to me.

I understand it is her life and if she wants to deal with that then fine. But the constant talking about him cheating, the crying, or helping her get all her stuff from his place when they have a fallout, and just overall building her up to help get over him just for her to take him back is wearing me down. Its been 2 years of this, and it’s pathetic as well as exhausting. I can’t keep giving her advice and putting my energy into this when it wont change anything.

She was angry at me for saying this to her , and has since cut me off. No calls, texts, or anything. Was I being a bad friend or was i right to tell her this?
