Two vessel cord??

My doctor called and said that I have a two vessel cord and a low placenta so I have to get another ultrasound done tomorrow to make sure baby is getting enough nutrients. Anybody get diagnosed with this? What does it mean?

Typically you have a three vessel cord. So being 2 can put you as a high risk pregnancy. A lot of times, its just precautionary. You will probably just have more appointments and ultrasounds..however, often times the pregnancies continue as normal.

My son had that and was born over 8 lbs and perfectly healthy.
