Postpartum Depression?

How soon after you have baby do you know if you have postpartum depression? I’ve been non stop crying for 4 days straight and I’m just sad. I’m miserable. My baby is a week old today.

This is probably the baby blues and expect them for a few weeks. Your hormones are all over the place!! To be honest I felt weird for about 6 weeks but soon felt like my old self. Google baby blues and it will make you feel better.
Look after yourself as much as you can. Take it easy. Cry when you feel like it and get as much support as you can in the early days. I’m sure you’ll feel ok soon x

Around 2 or 3 months I started having symptoms but didn’t get diagnosed until 6m pp. usually that soon after birth is more hormonal (baby blues)  and fades as all the extra hormones leave your body but it can become ppd if you don’t keep en eye on it.

You may have baby blues this is typically very common right after giving birth and can last a little while but is you see this is a continuous feeling and you truly don’t feel like yourself I would talk to your doctor or even the baby’s doctor they can help and point you in the right direction

. After having the baby we go thru something called the baby blues due to the sudden drop in hormones. If u still feel the same way in another 2 weeks then def talk to your dr! Baby blues are the least severe form of postpartum depression and most common they affect 70-80% of moms and usually the symptoms will hit forcefully 4-5 days after birth.. doesn’t mean it can’t be sooner it just depends on your birth. Good luck and don’t feel bad. You’re adjusting to all the changes! Congrats on the baby and I hope u feel better.
