Pregnancy & Birth story Super long sorry 😊
After adjusting to being a new mommy, I’m finally ready to share my pregnancy & birth story with y’all!!
After 11 months of TTC on December 2 2018 we got our BFP❤️

I had a smooth pregnancy, never had much morning sickness I did loose my appetite in the beginning & ended up loosing 20 pounds. Don’t worry we gained that back once we hit 20 weeks🤣 We found out we were having a baby BOY 💙

At our 32 week ultrasound baby boy is head down & almost 5 pounds. We start our bi weekly, then our weekly check ups.

39 weeks came and went, we still never dilated even after the weeks of trying every trick possible! So it’s back to waiting, my due date August 5th past by.. no baby.
40+1 we had a scheduled ultrasound to check baby’s fluids, weight etc. During our ultrasound the ultrasound tech said baby looked ready & by the end of the ultrasound she hadn’t got him to move much but she went ahead and sent us to the waiting room bc we had regular weekly check scheduled after. We waited maybe 2 mins an the tech came to the waiting room to get us. My husband and I looked at each as we know this is not normal, no blood pressure,no weight, no please pee in this cup. We are taken directly to a room where the doctor is waiting on us and we are told to go directly to labor and delivery, baby had failed his BPP test and I would be induced ASAP. So we get in the car & head to the hospital, it’s baby day!!

After we get checked in an hooked up to all the monitors, dr comes in to check me. I’m finally dilated to a 1/2!!! But my cervix is super high. So I start pitocin at 4 pm & my husband leaves to go get our hospital bags bc we weren’t expecting a baby that day an they wouldn’t let us get them before hand! The contractions start but then die down as the nurse keeps me rotating sides with a peanut ball. At 9:30pm my water breaks and of course that’s when the contractions really kick it up a notch. They increase my pitocin every 30 mins& at 1 am I got the iv pain meds. This put me instantly to sleep lmao but it did help my body relax a lot!!! I was OUT for about 30 mins but then the contractions woke me up.. after about 20 mins of trying to fall back asleep, I was vibrating with every contraction. I give my nurse the buzz an tell her I’m ready for the epidural, she says I have to wait for more fluids etc. longest 15 mins of my life. 1 hour later we finally get epidural to take! After 1 failed attempt I’m at 1 1/2 cn & I can still feel my legs but can barely feel contractions so back to rotating my peanut ball every hour an increasing pitocin every 30 mins. At 4:30 I’m at 4 cm, at 6:00 I’m a lil more than 5. At this point I’m so tired, my husband had worked the night before our ultrasound so he been awake 24 hours an had fell asleep a few hours before hand. So I finally doze off only getting woke up every 30 mins 😂 at 8 the shift changes my new nurse comes in an I tell her I definitely needs more epidural!!! We can’t get it to work at first, no surprise since we struggled the first time.I get checked & It’s baby time! The dr comes in to meet me, they break my bed down, soon my room is full, an my husband is by my side, it’s really go time! Practice push and baby’s head is already crowning! 2nd push and baby is earth side💙 Karson Tyler Honey was born August 7th at 8:26 am, 8 pounds 3 ounces 21 inches long.

Blessed to have had such a smooth delivery, I had second degree tears, & baby had jaundice due to our blood rh factors. But both baby & momma are both healthy. Hospital stay sucked but I love this little boy with my whole soul💙
