Suggestions on baby books?

I want to start reading to the baby while they are in the womb. Does anyone have any suggestions on which books to get?

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
I used to read “Brown bear brown bear” to my son when he was in the womb. It has a simple rhythm that’s easy to get stuck in your head. As soon as my son was born I started reading it to him again and he reacted with smiles and wiggles so I think he actually recognized it from the womb.

Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go!
There's so many books I love but there's one called "Oh Baby, The Places You'll Go" and it's specifically written to be read to baby in the womb and it's so cute. It's Dr. Suess based (obviously) of all the fun that's awaits them when they get here. I still read it to my kids and always get a little teary at the end. I love it.

My daughter and I love the little critter books and we have pretty much the whole collection. Also Dr seuss books.

This boom a favorite from childhood and my 6 months old loves it too. Best part is you can go online where they have animated the book into a sing along YouTube video. Amazing so I sing  with him once a week and then I will read when he can sing/read along.

All of the suggestions are good. My advice is to choose books that are middle level so the content stays pretty appropriate (not that it totally matters considering the baby isn’t going to process what’s being read) but reading to them matters because they hear words and it helps them build speech skills and vocab. I suggest reading a book you’d enjoy out loud rather than using baby books. As long as they hear you talking, they’ll be good. Talking is recommended to help build those skills and reading to them at their level after they are born helps to build in more vocab knowledge and reading readiness.

At this point it's just the sound of your voice that is most beneficial, so the words don't really matter. Read what you love and find interesting!

I love this book. Worked as a nanny for four years before moving on and having a little guy of my own. I bought this book for my own collection because of how cute it was. Definitely recommend!
