My husband needs to let me choose what to wear?

He doesn’t actually tell me what I can/cannot wear, he’s just very opinionated and will tell me whether something is horrible or doesn’t look nice on me without me even asking him. I always say it is up to me what I wear. If I like it then I’m going to wear it! For example I bought a very nice coat that I LIKE, and he complained and goes all moody every time I put it on before we go out he just looks and says are you really wearing that? Can’t you put something else on? To which I say, if you don’t like it then you know where the door is. I honestly couldn’t give a shit what he says and I will still wear it! Am I wrong in doing this or what?
