Infant Car seat recommendations

Hi ladies,

I am FTM, due in December and looking for car seat recommendations. I have no clue on which car seat is best for infants. I see few brands like graco, Chico and safetyfirst are popular among car seats.

Is it better to have a infant car seat or a convertible car seat or all-in-one that saves some money on pocket..?.

How safe are convertible or all-in-one car seats for new borns...?

Which car seat model do you suggest and had personal experience with...?
