Do you get texts for the person who had the number before you?

3 years ago I changed my number and was constantly getting calls from the bank and getting texts from family members looking for the person who had the number before me. Changed my number last year and now I’m starting to get calls from a bank and getting text messages from past colleagues and people just saying they can send my resume over to whoever. I’m assuming it’s regarding the woman who had the number before me. Anyone else have this issue? They’re not spam tho
