When will/did you move baby to their own room?

My girl is 8 weeks old. Wondering when other moms have moved their babies into their own rooms? Our bedroom is fairly noisy because it faces the road and there’s a lot of traffic. The living room gets bright early in the day because the windows are on the side where the sun rises, and there are no buildings or trees to mute it (we have blackout curtains but the room still gets brighter with the sun rising). We have the halo monitor (and a mom with anxiety 😂) so she’ll be watched closely when she’s in her nursery. I just feel like she’ll sleep better in there with the darker, quieter environment. Is it too soon?

My son was in his own room the night he came home from the hospital.

When he outgrows his bassinet, or at 6 months, whichever comes first

We may have to move him into the crib in the nursery before that because he is very tall and quickly outgrowing the bassinet, but if that's the case I'll get an air mattress and sleep in the nursery too 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm too anxious to have him on his own before the recommended 6 months. I would probably never sleep haha

9 months I believe is the sweet spot. I waited till then with my first and will do the same with this one too.

My first, I moved her at 3 months because she outgrew her bassinet and was sleeping 8 hours before her nighttime feed. She was also a loud sleeper and I woke up every time she moved lol 
My second we plan on keeping him in our room until he’s a year old, or until we stop breastfeeding.

We just started using her crib for naps in the day but using the bassinet in our room for at night still (7 weeks). I think once she’s 3 months old we’ll try to transition to the crib at night.

We moved her at 6 weeks to her own room. Her room is actually the one by the street with the extra noise so we wanted her to get used to it. She was in our room but her older brother will sometimes come into our room in the middle of the night and comes in every morning so we didn't want him to wake her up. She does great in her own room and we just have a basic monitor to hear her when she wakes up!

Once she sleeps longer through the night. On a good night we get a 7 hour stretch so once we reach 10, shes in her crib!

With my 6 & 3 year old I moved them to their own room right before going back to work at 12 weeks. This is because they were more on a routine and not waking up as much at night. With my 7.5 week old she is starting to go long stretches and if they become more routine I’ll probably move her sooner but I’ve been putting her down for naps in her crib to get her used to it 👍🏻 It’s all personal preference really!
