Transvaginal ultrasound at 5 weeks and 5 days?

Question

I have my first appt on Monday since getting the BFP. I don't know if there doing the ultrasound just yet but just in case.. Has anybody had a transvaginal ultrasound this early on? What are your thoughts? Been reading conflicting ideas on the internet and I just want to know your experiences.

I did when I was pregnant with my daughter but they didn’t see anything because I was so early so don’t be discouraged if you don’t see anything yet as you are so early.. they then gave me another one at 8 weeks and you were able to see the baby on the ultrasound and heart beat 😁

I was 5w1d when I had my first appointment 2 days ago and she did a transvaginal ultrasound. She was able to confirm that baby is growing in the uterus and that ovaries looked good!

Yes I had an ultrasound with my last pregnancy around 5 weeks and they saw the yolk sac. The following week I was able to hear the heartbeat. That pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks (stopped growing right after my 6 week ultrasound). This time I’m also going in next week for my first appointment and ultrasound. I’ll be 5w1d.
