Correcting step children’s behavior

OK so I got a question for y’all. I really am looking for some feedback. I am going to be the step mom to my SO three awesome kids. I really do love them and feel that they’re special and amazing kids, but sometimes their behavior, while in public, drives me crazy. It doesn’t really matter where we go they feel like they need to hit and run and play chase in the store while we’re shopping.  Im really not exaggerating when I say that the two younger ones will kick, and hit each other as they run through the aisles and sometimes even wrestle in the store. It’s a constant issue. I know they are little boys and they have energy to get out, but I don’t feel like their behavior in the store is appropriate. I should make note that they are 10 and 11 years old.

I am a fifth grade teacher so I’m used to being around children. But this rowdy behavior while out in public drives me crazy!!!! Am I wrong for thinking that this behavior is inappropriate? My SO thinks they are “just being kids.” 🤯
