How long did it take to conceive on metformin ?

I’m really wanting a second baby before I decide to just have a hysterectomy!  , I have irregular periods(which I bleed allll the time) I never ovulate that’s why I’m currently taking metformin ;    I’m just confused ;  I don’t know what to do anymore !! Do I give up ????

So far it's been 5 or maybe even 6 months and haven't conceived yet.

I never conceived on metformin.  In fact, I've been on it for years for pcos, and it has never regulated my cycles or caused me to ovulate.
