Does the baby move during contractions ?

I’ve been getting sharp period like cramps in my lower belly. It’s only happened a handful of times these past two hours and they only last a few seconds. I just can’t tell if they’re contractions or if it’s just from the baby moving so low. How do you tell? Lol

My baby girl moved during contractions and it was PAINFUL like a thousand times more painful than regular contractions. But I knew I was contracting and could feel her moving during them, this is my 3rd baby so I knew what was happening.

The contractions were so painful I honestly can’t remember feeling anything but the contractions. Lol.

My baby moves during them around 50% of the time and it’s for sure more painful when she does. My dr said though that “real” (productive) contractions will last over 30seconds to a minute. So if it’s just a few seconds I’d say more like just regular cramps.

My contractions felt like period cramps and started out at 5 minutes apart, lasting around a minute each.

If they are only lasting a few seconds they are likely Braxton Hicks. Real contact will last 60 to 90 seconds. My baby girl moves right after a contraction, but during my belly is so very tight i don’t think she can.
