I’m 29, never had children and never used tampons, mainly because I’ve always been on birth control that either stopped or greatly reduced my periods. I’ve recently stopped hormonal birth control in favour of barrier methods and oh boy are my periods back with avengeance.

I’ve always used pads but my periods are SO heavy (I have endo) that I’m sick of the constant mess / feeling wet all the time. So, I would like to try tampons but I have no idea where to start. Which ones are easiest to insert? Are the sizes accurate for flow? Can you REALLY go swimming with them? Are they comfortable? Etc etc. I need the lowdown.
