12 weeks or less... is it too early to wash baby clothes ?

With my daughter I waited until 38 weeks to wash the clothes and fold them up , I was so tired and my back was aching after all that work.This time around I am planning to do it early. I have to do it anyways so why can’t we do it a bit early.

If I had a washer of my own I would’ve already washed all his stuff 🤣. I have to go to my grandmas or the laundry mat to wash. That’s the only reason I haven’t yet 💀. I’m 27 weeks

I feel like things get a stale smell if left in a closet too long so I won’t wash them until at least 36 weeks. I know some people have babies early but I’ll just make my husband do it while I’m the hospital if that the case. I did that once with our 3rd babe... I was in labor and he was washing dang clothes... gosh I’m crazy. If I weren’t tho I’d say wash them whenever you feel like it!!

I’ve washed all our newborn and premie stuff already. I’m debating on washing 3-6 just so I can get it put away. I’m 28w but have a history of going early. I was at the dr yesterday and she said he’s already dropped and head down. (Which explains the pelvic pain I was having)
