how have you gotten your little ones to nap on their own??

need help asap!! my girl will sleep alone for 15-30 min and wake up screaming. when she sleeps on me, she can nap for 3 hours. i need to have some me time. she sleeps okay at night but i want a break during the day. (sorry if you think that’s selfish) 
give me all your tips!!

Blackout curtains, white noise and sleep training.  You don’t have to let her cry it out.  We left our son in the crib if he fussed.  When he cried we’d pick him up, rock him for a few minutes and then put him back in the crib. He was sleep trained in two days.

Maybe instead of letting her fall asleep on you, you could let her fall asleep next to you so when she does fall asleep, you can sneak away without having to readjust her.

I'm in the same boat.  She'll only sleep on me.

He will fall asleep on me and I will transfer him to his swing to nap. Sometimes I can get him to fall asleep in the swing if he gives me his tired cues and I put him down with his favorite stuffed toy. He'll chew on it for a few minutes and then fall asleep. It doesn't always last very long (30 minutes) but lately he's been sleeping a bit longer during the day. You are so NOT selfish. My shoulder is messed up from lugging him around all day!
