Whitening strips?

Is it okay to still use whitening strips? I feel like everything is a no while pregnant. But really wanting to whiten my teeth with strips from the dentist this week before we take pictures this weekend.

I worked for an awesome dentist and he does not recommend whitening strips while pregnant...whitening toothpaste is okay though! 
Depending on where you live, I really like Arm and Hammer Advanced Whitening. It has baking soda and other active whitening ingredients. It does taste different, you can taste a little baking soda. But it keeps coffee stains away for me!
