Uhh...clotting? (TMI?)

I know it's normal to get some blood clots when you're on your period, but my periods get so heavy to the point that I bleed through a regular tampon in under an hour (sometimes even S or S+) and I'll notice like...kind of large clots of blood? Should I be worried?

I spoke to a doctor about this before and she just put me on one of the pill BCs, but it was seriously messing with my normal discharge and making me feel really gross on a daily so I haven't talked to her for more refills.
