Sex after birth

I’m so ready to have sexxxx but I’m still having lochia. Did you ladies wait till the lochia stopped or did you not care? Lol (6 weeks pp) I can’t stand the smell and feel gross, that’s the only thing keeping me back from sex. When will this go away!!
