I am 1 week late in my pregnancy , is it ok?

I am 9 weeks 4 days according to my last period day and according to my app. But on ultrasound I am 8 weeks 5 days. I am sure the date when I was ovulated, as I took ovulation test. Why I am 1 week late? Is it ok to be late? I don’t want to think anything negative on this pregnancy but it keeps remind me last two miscarriages. Hope this time everything is going well.

Due dates are just an estimation, not an Amazon delivery date.

That’s not too far off, it can take anywhere from dpo 6 till dpo 12 for your egg to implant in your uterus. So maybe you just implanted a little later, doesn’t mean you won’t have a healthy pregnancy!!

What day was ovulation?  If it was later than CD 14-15, then you would be “behind” the LMP prediction.  Also, as others have said, you may have implanted later.  Even if neither of these are true, it’s fine to be a little ahead or behind the prediction and it can also change as babies do not grow at ghe exact same rates.

When I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks my technician told me that before 12 weeks due dates are just an estimation. At 12 weeks the due date is most accurate so it may change when you go back. My technician didn’t tell me the due date by the ultrasound and wanted to stick to my LMP as it was before 12 weeks and like I said, isn’t really accurate at that stage!
