Would yo choose a section if you could?

I really don’t know if to opt for my section or go natural 
So scared either way and worried about time in hospital it’s different for everyone. My friend had a section 10’weeks agai and she was 1/2 on list and then was in and out the next morning come 10am another lady I know was in a 5+ days so I know you can never tell
I have gestational diabetes so I may be induced/c section anyway 
Last 2 natural births both ended up with forceps and baby’s heart dipping...
Last birth I lost a lot of blood placenta got stuck and I was rushed to birth

I agree with the previous post. I would personally only go for a section if advised to do so. 
It’s still major surgery at the end of the day and you’ll be recovering from that when you have a new baby which may not be ideal. 
Have you tried to look at relaxation classes or hypo birthing to try and ease your worry of a natural birth? They may really help any concerns you have.

Unless you have a medical reason that your consultant has said this is best then you shouldn’t opt to have major surgery for no reason

My first was a C-section and it was not a fun experience, the recovery is brutal. My second I had a vaginal birth an it was so much better. I would never opt for a section personally, it is major surgery with increased risks for both mum and baby and a long recovery. Not only that but on a selfish note I now have the C-section pouch and it won't go away, I can't wear anything tight fitting because it shows.
I felt like I didn't bond with my first at the beginning because I was in so much pain from my section and I couldn't even lift her out of the bassinet. My husband had to wake up and hand her to me everytime she needed fed.

I’ve had two sections first was late baby and he’d flipped breach when my waters went so it was fairly rushed. Recovery was ok (not brilliant but defo not as bad as I expected) 
Number two was elective. Very relaxed and it helped my recovery massively. I was on the school run the following week driving within 2 weeks  and got married 8 weeks later 
I’ve not had natural though so can’t compare

You are within your right to ask for a c section with no medical reason. At that point your midwife / consultant will explore with you why you want one, and if it's anxiety related they will refer you to a Councillor type person to talk it through. If after that you still want one, the desicion will ultimately be with the consultant as to whether its in yours and baby's best interest. If they say no you can then request a different consultant / hospital. 
I opted for c section and had a very positive experience and quick recovery. Best decision for me.
Recovery from a straight forward vaginal birth is easier than a straight forward section. So it's just whether you think you're more likely to end up needing interventions in labour etc and a possible non planned section.

I personally wouldn’t opt for a c section unless for a medical reason. Childbirth is scary and nobody can argue that - but it’s completely natural to be scared. Its also completely natural for our bodies to give birth - in fact there isn’t anything more natural. We’ve done it for thousands of years. Should anything happen you’ll be in good hands.

I have gestational diabetes they said I may have to have a section , so hard as other people have positive stories 
My first two natural labours were terrible although I’m still more swaying that way I’m sure time will tell what’s best for her  xx
