Pregnancy and Labor with Endometriosis?

Question

Has anyone had pregnancies with endo? What was your stage and have you had any complications? I’m currently 29 weeks, had surgery for endo almost 4 years ago. I made the mistake of looking up complications of pregnancy and labor with endo, and it seems like there are many! Intrabdominal bleeding, ruptured placenta, preterm birth etc. now I’m worried. Any experiences?

Answer

I have endometriosis and have had 11 surgeries to remove the growths. This is my third pregnancy. The endometriosis has not affected them at all as far as I know. I did have to have my colon removed then a blood clot at the surgical site removed and those surgeries have made carrying this baby different and a bit more difficult. My OB said I have an immense amount of scar tissue that would make for a difficult c section, so hopefully I don’t need one.

My bestfriend has endo and has had 2 beautiful babies with 0 labor complications.. don’t stress too much love. Just listen to your doctors and don’t strain your pelvic area too much
