Should I see my GP?

I’m 16 and I live in the U.K. and I’m pretty certain I need to see a doctor about my irregular periods.

I started my period at 13 and it was irregular then but it began to regulate when I was 14/15 and it became heavy and lasted 7 days.

Now my period is scarce, I miss months before it shows up and it’s scarce like I get black discharge with clots and very minimal bleeding which lasts 2 days.

The last heavy normal period I had was in May and I’ve had two super light periods of that discharge since May and it’s now November.

I told my mum that I’ve been having irregular cycles multiple times and every single time she doesn’t listen to me or let me explain and tells me everyone has irregular cycles or when I argue that’s not true to the extent I’m having she’ll say it’s because I’m a teenager. It’s really frustrating because she did the same to my sister and when my sister was 20 she went to the doctors by herself and was diagnosed with PCOS. I’m worried that my mum is right because she’s a nurse in gynaecology and I’m starting to doubt myself that it’s not that bad, I don’t talk to anyone about periods so I don’t know if it’s normal or not.

If anyone can tell me if this is normal or not it would be so appreciated. I’m scared of wasting a doctors time for something silly.
