Baby falls asleep in car seat, do you let them sleep or take them out when you get home?

I take him out. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s safe allowing them to stay and sleep in the carseat like that

Leave them in at the risk of them dying, or take them out at the risk of them waking... seems like a pretty simple choice to me, an awake baby is always better than a dead baby.

Car seats are for cars, not sleeping. 
When outside of a car, they are no longer at the proper recline and can cause positional asphyxiation.

Have you not seen the news reports about positional asphyxiation? That happens in car seats. Take the baby out. Not worth the risk.

I’ll sit in the car while my daughter finishes a nap sometime. That way she’s still in the proper position AND she gets to finish her nap.

I sit in the car and wait for her to wake up. Or I drive around to run more errands. If I’m home then I take her out and sometimes she wakes up and sometimes she does not and I go out her down.

My babe wakes up as soon as the car stops 🤷🏽‍♀️ if she doesn’t wake up I stroll her into the house with the carrier attached to the stroller (the damn carrier is so heavy and so is my babe LOL)

You really shouldnt let them sleep in their seat but there were times i let my kids sleep in theirs. Never for super long and it was usually if it was outside the house and i didnt have a place for them to sleep. If you are at home its best to transfer them. They may wake up sometimes but as young babies its good to get them used to because then they arent as sensitive to being moved as they get bigger my youngest is 20 months and will still stay asleep for me when i move her from the car to her bed

I let her sleep but right next to me. I never left her alone

Why not leave them in the car to finish the nap? Obviously not when it’s very hot or very cold. And ideally with a cell phone app to use the phone as a baby monitor so you know when baby wakes up.
