Diva cup?

Question

Who uses the diva cup? 
Pros and cons? 
How long does it hold up? Has yours ever leaked? 
Have you ever had to change it in public? 
Does it hurt putting it in/taking it out? 
I’m just nervous 😬

I use one and have for 3 years, I’m on my second replaced the first after 2 years ( recommends every year, life happens) it can leak sometimes if I don’t have it in place just right, but not more than panty liner can’t handle. I have had to empty it in public, not the best but doable I prefer the shower. I wouldn’t say it hurts but can be uncomfortable at first learning to put it in and take it out.

I've used the diva cup. I bought size 1 when they had only 2 sizes (now they have 3 different sizes). 
Pros - I didn't have that period smell that sometimes can happen when I wear a pad. It felt liberating to not have a pad in between my legs. On my lightest days, I could leave it in all day and not worry (for 12 hours). No bloody tissue paper when wiping and my cooch was clean on the outside. 
Cons - Took me 2 or 3 periods to be able to put it in. I find it easiest to put in when I'm in the bathtub but it takes practice to be able to so it on a toilet. A bit of trouble when I had to empty it in public washrooms (getting blood on hands, etc.). But that can be eased with practice. Tip: Never go to the bathroom without a water bottle. Have to change it frequently because I have heavy periods. Not for the squeamish.
My periods are heavy. The first 2 days, I have to change it every 2-3 hours. This can be a major hurdle sometimes if I'm out. So I place a pad as a back up in case I'm not able to go to the bathroom. On my lightest day, I can leave it in all day (12 hours). Mine only leaked the first 2 times. The first time, I didn't put it in correctly so it leaked. The second time, it leaked because it was full. I had prepared for that by wearing a pad as a backup. So it's good to do that in the beginning when you're learning about your flow. For me, I knew it was time for me to change it when I started feeling bubbles escaping. That can either be a sign that's it's full or I didn't insert it properly.
I have changed it in public washrooms. It's hard initially, but with practice, it will get easier. Like I mentioned before, always have a water bottle with you when you go inside. And you can watch YouTube videos on how to get it out without getting the blood all over your fingers. 
The menstrual cup slap, as I call it, can hurt if the cup opens before it goes in. Again, practice makes perfect. Other than that, it doesn't hurt to put it in or take it out.

I don't use a diva cup. I use a saalt cup! I love it so much. Forsure a learning curve at first- don't stress out. I didn't have any trouble my first time though. I change mine in the am- 530ish and in the evening around 4pm. I'll do a mid day change if I'm bleeding more heavy. 
Changing it for me isn't a big deal in public. I take it out and dump it....and maybe wipe it off a little bit and put it back in. 
I wasn't sure if I'd  like it but I haven't used a tampon in 4 cycles.
