Spotting.. Is that day one or no?

So I recently saw my OB on October 30th and she prescribed letrozole since my husband and I have been TTC for a few years. I have PCOS and very irregular cycles.

2 days ago I wiped after using the bathroom and saw light blood. I put a pad on before bed and saw nothing when I woke up.. yesterday the same thing happened except the blood was a little darker. Today at work I wiped and it finally looked like a real period. When I got home I wiped after using the bathroom and it looks like a clot of blood.

My question is.. what day am I on? The OB said not to take the letrozole until day 3 of my cycle and that spotting doesn’t count as day one. But I’m concerned because what if it really is dat 3 now and days 1 & 2 were not heavy because of the clot ?

Please help lol
