Why is my period late???

My period is late by 5 days and I took an at home pregnancy test and it came back negative. Should I go to the doctors or wait it out? I’ve never had this happen before

So this could go either way. When I was 25 I skipped an entire period for no reason at all. Just because it’s never happened, doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Our bodies do weird things sometimes. But at the same time I ovulate very late in my cycle, so with both of my pregnancies I was 14 days late before getting positives. You can call and talk to your gynecologist on what they advise, but you probably just have to wait it out a little longer.

Wait it out. The Dr isn’t going to think much of it unless you’re at least two weeks late.
