Does anyone's toddler have night terrors?

Our son has them and they've been getting worse. His doctor said it's like sleep walking and we're not allowed to wake him up.

My heart can't take it. He says "no no no", thrashes around in his bed, calls for dada, whines, whimpers, high pitch screams, begs and pleads for mama...

I'm both sad and also ready to kill whomever is hurting my baby. It went on so long last night I ended up just sitting in bed bawling my eyes out. All I want to do is hug him and tell him it's ok but the doctor insists that will make things worse.

Has anyone else dealt with this? 💔
