First Trimester Bleeding

Hi everyone. I’m looking for stories.

As of today I’m 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant!🌈☺️🙌

I had a miscarriage in July and my D&C in August, so I’m thrilled we’re expecting again so soon.

Tuesday- I started spotting (brown) so I called the OB. They ordered a blood test because we knew I was too early to see anything on ultrasound. They did an exam too and stated that they saw brown old blood, but everything looked fine.

Wednesday- HCG came back at 11. BARLEY PREGNANT! Spotting changed from brown to red. Pretty bummed...

Thursday- bleeding started. Light flow. Same amount as my regular cycle, but missing the clots. I’m went back in for 48 hour blood test to check for rising levels.

Friday (today) - bleeding continues... still have to wear a pad. HCG came back at 33! More than doubled.

I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what the outcome was. I’m really hoping this is our rainbow baby, but I’m not getting my hopes us too much. I can’t handle the pain I went through with my last pregnancy.
