Little scratches??

So I bought this new scrub and it left tiny little scratches on my face. Are exfoliants supposed to do that? Anyone else use this or something similar and this happen? 😬

If it’s scratching your face please don’t use it your gonna give yourself skin problems and premature wrinkles. I would stick to chemical exfoliation. ✌️

It’s a microdermabrasion exfoliant so it should penetrate deeper than a regular exfoliant I believe. More like a facial. Just be sure to follow instructions to a T. It’s meant to remove surface cells.

Yes physical exfoliating does that. That's why chemical exfoliating is recommended over that especially for the face. Look into salicylic acid and glycolic acid if you want to exfoliate.

Most scrubs leave my skin really irritated. Exfoliants can be very rough. Like those St. Ives scrubs with hard beads are not really good for your skin. There are other ways to exfoliate than using a harsh scrub. Something as simple as using a washcloth can help or using a chemical exfoliant rather than a rough scrub. It just depends on your skin type though. But if you’re left with a lot of redness or patched, I’d go out on a limb and say that product isn’t the best for you.
