I need some advice...

Gabrielle

So I need some advice on what to do properly to get the where I want to be which is pregnant.

I have PCOS and the doctors (2) I was seeing were telling me the reason for it was being over weight. (I’m aware I might need to lose some weight to be “healthy” enough to carry a baby but weight is not an issue). Another issue is having really bad irregular periods... and when I say irregular I mean... bleeding for MONTHS at a time... currently have been on my cycle since July this year no breaks only light spotting sometimes... (that even rare too)

Now I do have a birth control implant called Nexplanon.... my younger sister also had it and it messed up her periods... I do plan to take it out but my doctors recommended that it would help with a lot of other medications as well...

I just wanna know if there’s anything I can do without having to get surgery... I have always wanted kids and I hate not being able to be a mom... (Yes I am married and we have been doing some research to try and figure things out but it seems to be a dead end)

I have prolonged periods that happened all of sudden this year. Just recently I went to someone new and he prescribed me Provera to restart my period. Prolonged periods can be due to hormonal imbalances, thickness of uterine lining, fibroids, endometriosis, etc.... through a ultrasound they found my uterus was double the thickness of a normal one. I’m usually on my period for 2-3 weeks. I took Provera for 10days and started my period 3days later. My period lasted only 9 days this cycle!!!! We’re going for another round this next cycle and doing another ultrasound after to check if it helped. Girl I’m was excited my period wasn’t long like it’s been!! I cramped soooooo much after Provera but the doctor said I had to so I can shed the lining (I never cramp on periods). So we’ll see... but maybe talk to your dr about Provera or seek another dr. It also helped with the size of my blood clots.

Yes this one does, so does Tranexamic acid and ibuprofen! But Provera is the only one that’s going help you in long run. I would definitely try Provera and for now, maybe just ibuprofen (400mgs-600) and see if that helps.

Wow! My friend mentioned their being a pill I could take that stops my period 30 minutes after I take it. Would that happen to be it? I’m trying to get a dr when I just moved to. Getting get insurance and all that other good stuff taken care of before I do. Thank you! And I am glad that provera has helped you! ❤️
