Mucus plug?

Ugh I wish I snapped a pic.. I noticed small white pieces in the toilet last night but idk how a mucus plug looks, I never lost mine with my first, or I just never noticed. BUT TODAY! I went to the bathroom and noticed a white piece of “something” 😂 with a pink dot/streak in it. Could that have been my mucus plug or start of a bloody show?

So I’m definitely not an expert and can only speak to my experience, but this is it: I didn’t lose my plug either with my first since I was induced. This time around I started losing it on Tuesday. I’d had a lot more discharge in general this pregnancy since I’m carrying lower but there was no mistaking when I wiped Tuesday and there was a decent sized glob of goop on the toilet paper. Since then my doctor did a sweep on Thursday and I have been astonished at how much plug has come out. Every single time I wipe for the last 48 hours there is a lot of goop, for lack of better words. So, my guess it yes it likely is a bit of your mucus plug, but unless it was a ton, there’s a good chance there’s more where that came from... at least in my experience. Again no expert at all here... but I’ve been shocked how much has come out. I texted my doctor yesterday asking if it was normal and she said yes for sure, and not to worry unless contractions got regular. (My Doctor is my husband’s godmother, so I know most people don’t have the luxury of texting their doctor with every little question)
