Tips to Increase Milk Supply? 2 Weeks Postpartum

First Time Mom. It’s been two weeks and Have been having a hard time breast feeding. I usually pump 30 mins and only make half an ounce each session with no increase at all. Any tips to increase supply? How long did it take for you?

Pump right after you feed and try power pumping.  Drink TONS of water.  If you over drink a bit, it has to come out some where, and will come out via your breasts as well as your bladder 😂 I drink about 120 oz a day (have a plastic Starbucks trenta cup that I fill with water or G2 every day).  Eat plenty of healthy calories.  Take an omega with your prenatals.

Are u just pumping for a stash but nursing baby first or what? If ur doing both, then how much u pump in no way reflect how much baby gets when actually nursing. Ur supply is likely fine if ur baby seems content after feeding. There’s no need to pump unless ur just wanting a stash. I knew I’d be home and not have to go back to work so I never messed with pumping. We are 1 year pp and breastfeeding is still going strong and my supply has been fine and adjusts to her demands. Ur body will make enough if ur feeding on demand.

Your supply won’t regulate until you’re about 6 weeks pp.  Feed on demand and nurse only if you can until then.  Counting ounces is stressful in the beginning, and both of you need practice with latching and nursing.
