Do/did you like group projects when you were in school?

Ugh I finish college this year and 3 of my final grades are going to be group projects. I fucking hate them, I don’t trust anyone when it comes to doing academic things but myself. I’d rather fuck it up on my own and blame myself if I do than having to hope the people I work with are alright and don’t mess up my final grade 🙄

yes. being able to collaborate is crucial to a lot of professions. outside of that, it's just a basic life skill. if people don't pull their own weight it's fine, i would usually bring it up with the teacher if it got overwhelming, otherwise just pick up the slack. 
you can't control other people. but you can control yourself, including your reactions. in one of my youth programs we had a huge presentation and went from a group if 10 to a group of 3 due to students being eliminated/quitting as the end of the program got closer. nobody trued to overtake the project. they just gradually picked up the slack at people left. 
there's a lot of value in group projects. taking over the whole thing just puts a lot of unnecessary strain on yourself and patronises your group members. i used to do it in early high school until my mentor told me to cut the shit, stop being a little asshole, and start supporting/being supported by teammates/coworkers. group projects help a lot with learning to deal with different people and using each other's strengths to find personal blindspots, and create high quality work.

One of my last group projects I did in college, I eventually went off and told one of my teammates I was getting ready to put a boot in his ass. It all depends. Generally no, I am not a fan of them bc there’s usually one who still gets credit while everyone else did all the work. Depends on who I’m in a group with. My first group project for this class we all worked well together and things came along great.

Nope. Relying on other people for your own grade is a nightmare. Not everybody cares about thier grade, and not everyone will do thier part, and thier lack of giving a shit reflects on you even if you had nothing to do with it. I don't want a bad grade because Stacy wanted to half ass her section and now the whole project looks shitty and incomplete even though I spent a solid week perfecting mine

I'm impartial. I would prefer to do my own work, but I always have my work checked by someone else for a full transparency review. 
On the other hand, while I don't prefer group projects, I always appreciate other points of view. Put 4 compatible people together to work on a project and you're looking to have a great project to turn in.
