Is the Owlet Smart Sock worth it?

Who’s getting one? Who isn’t? I can’t decide if I want one or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️ $300 seems like so much money, but I like the idea of having that piece of mind.

I was considering getting one with my daughter as she had some health issues (breath holding spells at 12mo) and was talking about it with a doctor of hers at our childrens hospital we were working with and she strongly advised against it saying they really are not all that accurate and can cause a lot of false readings. At the end of the day im glad we didn't spend the money on it as for me personally I would have probably obsessed over it a bit too much.
 I always think that if my child really needs that kind of monitoring at home it would be recommended my my childs pediatrician or doctors and we would get the proper equipment for it.

I loved having mine and will definitely use it again with baby #2. I never had false alarms or anything. I had major post partum anxiety and seeing the little green light on the dock helped me soooo much. I have an HSA so I actually wound up getting reimbursed for the cost!
