Husband is scared to have sex

I’m 36 weeks pregnant. My mucus plug came out a few days ago and that was the end of our sex. I asked him today about when we can have sex and he said he is scared the baby is going to be hurt or come out early. What else can we do besides oral to “have sex” without having penetrative sex? I want to be intimate with him before the baby is born.
