Antidepressants side effects?

I was prescribed Lexapro for my depression and I did some research on it and it says many people who have used Lexapro have been to the hospital from internally bleeding. I don’t know if I should keep taking it or if I should stop. I’m kind of freaking out right now.

Many of the side effects they have to list often having nothing to do with that spcific medication. It might be more of a handful of patients on that medication were also on something else too and because they cant tie it exactly to one thing it has to be listed. Honestly unless you are a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or pharmacy tech googling medications seems a lot scaried because you dont know how all that works and why those things are listed.

I was Lexapro for months and had no internal bleeding. I actually went off of it (with the help of my psychiatrist) due to worsening depression. I’m now on Zoloft. 
There are all kinds of side effects with every medication. Most of them are extremely rare, but they do happen which is why they’re listed. You should watch out for those side effects, of course, but usually they’re nothing to be seriously worried about. 
If you’re really concerned, please call your psychiatrist and make an appointment. They should be more than happy to help you wean off of it and onto a medication that you’re more comfortable with.
